Fake Book Cover Day

I have decided to declare January 10th "Fake Book Cover Day" because I, along with one other person I know (my CP, Ilima) have chosen today to post our pretend covers. Everyone else, it's not too late to jump on the bandwagon!

So, without further ado, here is the fake cover I designed for my latest manuscript, The Lovely Invisible (a Cupid & Psyche retelling). Enjoy!

  4. How did you guys do that? Cuz I can totally cut some pictures out of a magazine and glue stuff together...haha, but I couldn't do that I don't think!

  7. Ilima- Thank you! You're married to the king of design, so that's high praise coming from you.

Emily- Thank you, my dear. I hope you enjoy the manuscript!

Jeni- I'm biting my nails knowing you're reading it right now. And she IS the perfect Isidora, right?!

Jessie- Photoshop! But I love me some magazine cut-out collage inspiration too. :-)

Leigh- I AM lucky to have Ilima. She rocks! <3 We'll have to have another Fake Book Cover Day soon so you can join the party.

Cynthia- Yes, I've always adored this myth, though my version is VERY different from the original--mainly in how I portray Psyche ("Isidora" in my book). Hopefully it gets published and you can read it someday. :-)

  11. i like how cupid looks more masculine, not so boyish as we may percieve. her face, is innocent, yet you think she would be a good "lover". i really like it!!

  12. I would never guess that was a fake cover. What's with all these fake covers that look good enough to read? They're beating the tar out of "real" covers. :)
